Summer Opportunities Fair

Fair Details

Where am I?

  • The purpose of this Fair is to promote quality summer programs. We expect all exhibitors to offer professional and tasteful presentations and to show respect to the other exhibitors and fair goers.
  • Set-up for the Fair will take place Friday afternoon from 4:00pm - 6:00pm as well as Saturday morning from 8:00 - 9:45am. Please have your exhibit set up and staffed by 9:45am. The Fair will be open to the public from 10:00am - 3:00pm. WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE SET-UP offered on Friday from 4:00 - 6:00pm.
  • Packing-up: The Fair will end at 3:00pm. We ask that you do not dismantle your booth prior to 3:00pm. Volunteers will be available to help transport your equipment to the vehicle loading zone at the conclusion of the Fair. The booth number signs are the property of the Fair and will be collected by a volunteer.
  • In the event of inclement weather, we will post on the Fair's website by 6 am if the Fair will be canceled.
  • Bring plenty of brochures and other marketing materials. If you would like to ship materials prior to the event, we will be happy to store them at Whitfield School after Tuesday, January 17, 2023. All Exhibitor materials must arrive no later than Monday, January 23, 2023. Please note the following details:  You must inform via email that you will be sending materials prior to the event. See address below; and please remember to write your CAMP NAME and "Summer Opportunities Fair" on the outside of the package(s) to ensure delivery to the correct department. Please email with a tracking and / or confirmation number if you are shipping materials.  You may ship materials to the following address:
                                Whitfield School / M. Barker
Attn: Summer Opportunities Fair / Organization name
175 South Mason Road
Saint Louis, MO 63141
  • No copy machines will be available on site. The FEDEX nearest to Whitfield School is located at 12520 Olive Blvd Suite C, Creve Coeur, MO 63141.
  • THERE IS NO SMOKING. The three host schools, John Burroughs, MICDS, and Whitfield, are non-smoking campuses.
  • NO raffles, hawking, obtrusive giveaways, helium-filled balloons, confetti, food, dangerous program equipment (such as pocket knives, bull whips, ropes, etc.), or other means of attracting undue attention.
  • No solicitations in aisles or hallways will be permitted. Please do not conduct individual or group meetings with prospective clients outside your assigned exhibit space during Fair hours.
  • Exhibitors using audio equipment must keep the volume at a level that will not disturb other exhibitors.
  • No coffee pots, plate warmers, or other small appliances may be used due to electrical restrictions. Coffee and hot water will be available in the hospitality room.
  • THE USE OF LIVE ANIMALS IN EXHIBITS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. In addition, the use of balloons, sand and confetti is not permitted.
  • Exhibitors must limit their displays to their assigned spaces. Equipment and free-standing displays that extend outside their exhibition space, whether into a neighbor's space or into the aisle, are not allowed.
  • Please refrain from distributing items such as small airplanes or Frisbees that might become airborne in the gym.
  • Remember to bring a surge protector, masking tape, scissors, electric extension cord, projection equipment and screen, extra projection bulbs, magic markers, push pins, and whatever else you might need to prepare your exhibit.
  • Please leave your children at home when working as an Exhibitor.  The 10am to 3pm Fair makes for a long day, and kids tend to get restless and could disturb other Exhibitors.
  • As a courtesy to neighboring booths, we ask that all camps limit the number of people staffing their booth to a maximum of three (3).
  • Please do not throw away any pre-printed signs.
  • Exhibitors who violate Fair guidelines will be asked to leave with no refund of registration fees or any other expenses incurred in conjunction with the Fair.

We do not anticipate any problems with our Exhibitors. We include these guidelines to ensure a good experience for all exhibitors, guests, and volunteers. Thank you again for your careful attention to these details. This Fair is run by volunteers doing their best to accommodate everyone, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
